https://aralleida.cat/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/egretta1.jpg1387969In the Lands of Lleida, it can be seen in summer, but it is not a nesting species along many of the river courses, and especially along the lower course of the River Segre. In the last decade, it has regularly nested on the Illa dels Martinets island in the Aiguabarreig (confluence) of the rivers Segre, Cinca and Ebro, and a few pairs have even nested at Vallcalent. This is quite a commonly seen species, with individuals also observed throughout the year.
